2016 Christmas Secret Santa sign up by Wed Dec.7 at 8pm EST

Posted: 29 Nov 2016 10:28 PM PST

I hope you'll join me for our 2016 Christmas Secret Santa! It's a lot of fun for everyone involved and a good chance to celebrate the season together. You can checkout our last years exchange here to see what you'll be missing out if you pass this up. :)

This is my first time heading up an exchange and I'm thrilled to have the self-appointed opportunity. We're getting a later start this year, so I'm going to assign exchange pals as soon as they come in on a rolling basis. So the sooner you submit your name in his thread then PM me your address, the sooner you can get started on shopping. Everyone who wants to join in needs to do so by Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8pm EST. I'll make sure every person has a pal by 9pm that same night. I'm going to stick with moontwin's usual rules for the most part, but I did change some things so please read them carefully:

2016 Christmas Secret Santa Rules

1. To participate in WUC exchanges you must be an active member of WUC, with at least 200 100 posts. I'm changing the number of posts b/c some folks aren't chatty and the forum hasn't seen much action in awhile. It's understandable to have a lower post count now. Of course, I'm taking full responsibility for this and will ensure that everyone gets a great package

2. You must have a trader rating of at least 20 10 to participate. I'm lowering the number b/c every year some newer folks want to join in and can't. Additionally, not many auctions have taken place and the trading forum isn't seeing a ton of action right now. I can't fault someone for the lower number. I'm taking all responsibility for this decision. Rest assured, if ANYONE fails to send their gift on time, I will send the gift!

3. You may not have any negative or neutral feedback in order to participate.

4. Your name cannot be on the staff's suspended or banned trader's square or train list.

5. If you sign up for this exchange, and do not follow through, you will be banned from any further exchanges that I head up and I will leave you negative feedback.

6. You must ship your package by Tuesday, Dec. 13th. We're on a bit of a time crunch this time so you need to get these out on time and ship first class or better. I want you to send me a confirmation code via PM as soon as you ship to your exchange pal so I'll be in the loop. I want your pal to get the package BEFORE Christmas and I know you do too..

7. This one's common sense--Exchange partners should not "re-gift" boxes. The package you receive should not turn into the package you send out. Please do not "re-gift" your exchange cause that's just tacky and hurtful!

8. Please stay within a budget of $45 or less, not including shipping. I know some Wuckies are better shoppers than others when it comes to finding deals, but be realistic with this and mindful that some people have strict budgets and feel bad when they can't spend as much. There's just lots of feels sometimes. Besides, the point is to have fun and celebrate together and we all know that can be done wonderfully on even the smallest budget. Don't overspend.

9. Don't tell anyone who your exchange person is b/c it's a secret. You'll reveal who you are when you send your pals package. Most folks include a Christmas card.

Let's get this celebration started! Add your name to this thread and PM me your addy by Wednesday, December 7th at 8pm EST if you want to join this Christmas exchange. It doesn't matter how many sign up or if there's an odd number or whatever. We're gonna run with it and have a blast!

Head here to fill out the questionnaire so your pal will know what you like/don't like.

**Great big thank you to Moontwins who has headed up every single exchange for years! I borrowed freely from her verbage.

Quick simple trip

Posted: 29 Nov 2016 09:45 PM PST

I stopped in tonight to pick up some vitamins. I have to take Vitamin D daily and my supply is getting very low.

1 Duo Fusion antacid 20 tablets @$10.49
2 bottles of CVS Vitamin D 1000 iu 120 softgels @$9.49 BOGO free

Used
$10 off Duo Fusion antacid and any CVS vitamin CVS ip
$2/$10 Vitamins MCM
$1/1 CVS Health product (from in store flyer)
$2 ECB
Paid $2.69 (1.71 was sales tax)

Submitted Duo Fusion to ibotta for $3 rebate and will try to see if I can manage to get the Duo Fusion purchase price rebate from the manufacturer. The Duo Fusion will be donated to a shelter as we don't use it. Has anyone sent in a rebate request using those high value coupons? I was curious to know if they actually refund the stated purchase price versus what you actually paid.

At any rate, I now have enough vitamins to keep me going for a while. It's trips like this that keep me going back to the store.
